As Alex spent time designing the library in Langaville, the degree to which not all children in townships are literate became glaringly obvious; so he decided to do something different with the design.
Primarily, libraries are used for reading, research and assignments. Alex decided to add another element to this library by incorporating an ampitheatre (south-eastern corner of the library grounds) that can be used to showcase vocal arts (singing, poetry, drama etc.), and visual arts with a Mural wall where artists can paint/graffiti their works which are then rinsed off every two weeks.
